Welcome to Camping in Kerry at
Mannix Point (Mortimer’s)
Ring of Kerry, Ireland.

Open: Easter – 15th September

Facilities - Fully Equipped Camping and Caravan Park

The impeccably clean on-site facilities include a cosy campers’ sitting room with turf fire in the evenings which is renowned for impromptu music sessions. There are no pool tables, no television and no video games. There is a campers’ kitchen and dining room with cookers, microwave, fridges and freezer plus a BBQ and picnic area. The laundry has automatic washers and dryer and the washing-up area provides continuous hot water. There are two fully equipped bathrooms including a hairdressing area in the women’s room. The office and reception which is open daily from 9am until late provides an extensive range of information for visitors.

Mannix Point

One of the highlights of Mannix Point is the Campers’ Sitting Room warmed in the evenings by a turf fire. Impromptu music sessions are part and parcel of this place. They may or may not happen at any time. It can be up to you but you are almost certain of a great session during the last two weeks in July and the first two weeks in August. If you can play or sing or dance or whatever, come and join in. I provide a couple of guitars, a consertina, tin whistles, a keyboard and organ but purists who have been here already tend to bring their own instruments. I wonder why? Outside there is a BBQ and picnic garden, which is especially popular with groups.

Mannix Point caters well for tents large and small, motor homes (campervans) and caravans with electricity, water and hard stands.

Your well-behaved dogs are welcome and there is ample exercise space for them along the foreshore. On the park they must be kept on leads.
